Every now and again you come across a restaurant, bar or café in London that is just so goddamn irresistibly instagramable you can’t help but save a whole insta-collection devoted to it so you can work out the exact snap you want to get before you go.

Bronte on the Strand is one of these places. The first standalone restaurant by the Design Research Studio (DRS) since Eclectic in Paris, Bronte has been designed under the creative direction of Tom Dixon - and boy can you tell at the first glimpse of the sexy pendants over the bar. The glimmering rose-gold restaurant boasts a pink concrete breakfast bar, a marble green granite kitchen and a pewter cocktail bar, custom design furniture with green leather and black timber booths. Overlooking Trafalgar Square, Bronte is inspired by the history of the Strand; Victorian explorers, extraordinary collectors and the 'Cabinet of Curiosities'.

Starting with drool-worthy breakfasts, the pantry serves up dishes including Soft-boiled eggs with Marmite and mature cheddar cheese soldiers, Hot smoked salmon with scrambled duck eggs on brioche, and Wild mushrooms, white miso and truffle on toasted brioche.  With lunch and dinner menus spanning both the pantry and main restaurant, generous, vibrant and flavoursome salads sit alongside small and big plates, snacks and raw and cured dishes – each plate shyly showcasing Antipodean and Pacific influences.
