Ethos

Meat-free, gluten-free, diary-free, sugar-free, plant-based, green and clean. Londoners are taking an avid interest in making healthy lifestyle choices, and Ethos fits right into this movement. Located a stone-throw from Oxford Street, this all-day restaurant offers beautifully presented buffet-style hot and cold plates, in a urban forest setting.

Choose a large or small plate, and help yourself to seasonal salads such as Cauliflower with tahini and cranberry, Kale with kumquats, or Aubergine with soy yoghurt and dill. Filling the remaining space on your plate, help yourself to the hot section. Absolute must-try dishes include moreish Halloumi bites, Cranberry and pistachio nut roast and cheesey Artichoke stuffed potato bites. Once filled, carry your heavy plate to the counter where it will be weighed, and you will be charged accordingly.

There are desserts too, priced per item, rather confusingly. These are the real highlight, and will delight the health fanatic in you to devour any given treat with minimal guilt. Dive into gluten free, sugar free and vegan desserts such as the refined sugar free brownies and healthy power puff balls. For something more indulgent try the lemon and raspberry cheesecake or pecan pie. Accompany the experience with a brief selection of cocktails, or a glass of wine.

While not ideal for foodies with paranoia of all their foods mixing together, Ethos is utterly perfect for the veggie-foodie seeking a variety driven visual feast, or the enthusiastic carnivore looking to avoid scurvy.
